Privacy Policy

Effective September 13, 2026 · Updated September 14, 2026

This policy explains what information the Reversi app for iPhone, iPad and Android (the "App") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is made by Lloyd McCluskey ("we", "us"). If you have questions, email support@gitidaho.com.

In short: games against the computer and on one device collect nothing and never leave your device. If you play online, we store what's needed to run your account, your games and the leaderboard. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. We don't sell your information. You can delete your account in the App at any time.

Technical information

Like most online services, our server receives your IP address and basic request details (such as time and app version) when the App connects. These are kept in server logs for up to 14 days to keep the service running and secure, then deleted.

Advertising

The App shows ads from Google AdMob unless you have bought Remove Ads. AdMob may collect information from your device, such as its advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses it to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. On iPhone and iPad, the App asks your permission before any tracking using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) is only used if you allow it. On Android, AdMob uses your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device's settings. If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you're also asked for consent through Google's consent message. If you opt out, you'll still see ads, but they won't be personalised using your advertising identifier.

Learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

2. What other players can see

Your display name, profile picture, disc design and country are shown to your opponent during online games. Your display name and rating appear on the leaderboard once you've played 5 rated games. Your email address and sign-in details are never shown to other players.

3. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:

4. How long we keep information

5. Your choices and rights

Where the law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide the service you asked for (your account, games and purchases), for our legitimate interests (security, preventing cheating and abuse), and with your consent (personalised ads).

6. Children

Online play is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

7. Security and where data is stored

Information is sent to our server over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on servers in the United States. We limit access to it and take reasonable steps to protect it, but no online service can be completely secure.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also take reasonable steps to tell you, such as a notice in the App.
